I want to start by sharing a little bit about my journey. I’ve been doing readings for clients for about two years now, and I’ve been on my own healing and self-discovery journey for about six years. I fully believe that channeling and finding ways to help the collective are part of my purpose.
Along my healing journey, I began developing my clairaudient abilities. And I want to tell you how! Of course, this is based on my own perspective and personal experience. I know everyone has their own beliefs and experiences when it comes to this topic, and that’s okay.
It Started With Healing
When I first started my healing journey, my goal wasn’t to activate dormant DNA. I didn’t even know much about that at the time! I simply wanted to heal and release the emotional wounds and heavy burdens I had been carrying for most of my life.
I also didn’t know that channeling was part of my purpose. That realization came later. Everyone is intuitive and has abilities, there’s just different levels of activation is how I would describe it, your body getting an upgrade. The more I worked through my emotions, released that dense energy i’ve been holding onto, and let go of old patterns, the more space I was creating for a higher frequency.
For me, balancing my light and shadow selves played a big role in this process. So did setting the intention to change, wanting a deeper connection with myself and my higher self, and making time for meditation.
I started to realize how much of ourselves we can suppress without even knowing it. Sometimes, we carry emotional wounds, beliefs, and patterns for so long, or were born in to, that we forget or don’t even realize they’re even there. We become so used to living a certain way that we don’t realize how much more there is to discover about ourselves.
I believe there are gifts/abilities, and ancestral wisdom that we have yet to explore or understand. Just think, how much do we carry within us that hasn’t had the opportunity to be expressed or developed?
Developing My Spiritual Abilities
I’ve always been an empathetic person. As I continued on my healing journey, that inner knowing seemed to grow stronger, and I began experiencing clairaudience as well. It felt like I was becoming more receptive to information in a different way.
Looking back, I believe that doing the inner work, setting intentions, and building a deeper connection with myself all played a role in how I experienced these abilities. I wasn’t trying to force anything to happen. I was simply learning more about myself, becoming more aware, and allowing myself to explore what I was experiencing.
And I think that’s an important part of the process: giving yourself the space to discover who you are without putting too much pressure on yourself to become something else.
I remember the first time I heard Spirit. It was in between that transitional state of being awake and asleep. I googled the name of that lol and it’s called “ Hypnagogia”. Spirit told me, “I have the power to shift my reality”. I woke up like “wtf” LOL. Asking myself was that what I think it was? It’s hard to explain what it sounds like. It doesn’t sound like a specific gender, just a voice - I might write more on this in another article.
This made me want to explore more, I eventually went down a rabbit hole on spirituality and “the unknown” or the conspiracy theory topics lol. It was like everything started to align. The right people just started popping up, and I was even meeting new people online that helped me answer a lot of my questions.
What About Our Creative Abilities?
Have you ever been immersed in an activity or project and suddenly started getting a bunch of ideas out of nowhere? Or randomly felt inspired to try a new hobby that you never would have considered before? I feel this is also a type of activation. The more we heal and embrace our true authenticity, the more gifts/abilities will start to come online or get stronger.
When we’re more present, curious, and open to exploring, we might notice inspiration coming to us in ways we hadn’t experienced before. You might discover a new interest, find yourself approaching a project differently, or realize that you have a natural ability you never really gave yourself the chance to explore. We don’t always know what we’re capable of until we give ourselves permission to try.
It can feel almost endless, like the Universe is inviting us to explore and create. Making the inspiration and information available to us. I honestly think we sometimes make this process more complicated than it needs to be. Someone told me once to go toward the excitement, and then the next exciting thing and then the next. That’s been a way for me to stay in alignment, following my intuition and not just doing things out of fear.
Healing, Having Fun, and Being Yourself
Yes, healing can bring up uncomfortable emotions and require us to face things we’ve avoided for a long time. But the journey isn’t only about doing the hard inner work. It’s also about allowing yourself to enjoy life, explore your interests, create, laugh, and do the things that make you feel like yourself.
When you’re no longer constantly trying to be who you think you should be, you give yourself more room to discover who you actually are. You allow yourself to follow your curiosity, express your creativity, and explore the parts of yourself you may have kept hidden. There’s nothing more powerful than that love frequency, being authentically yourself. It’s like, you become a magnet for what’s meant for you.
Not forcing yourself to become more spiritual. Not chasing an ability just because you want to experience it. But learning to connect with yourself, allowing yourself to grow, and enjoying the process along the way.
